Everything on Earth, humans, beasts, even plants depend on it. Without rain, the whole world will change into one massive desert. Let’s look at the positive efects of rain and how it affects our lives.

Rain is created as a result of vapourization. There are many types of rainfall. Scientists have revealed how all the forests in the world and the animals living in them are totally dependent on rain. Without rain, all the rainforests in the world will be destroyed. It will be very harmful for the future of mankind.

In the 21st century, the scarcity of rain has led to hazards such as global warming droughts and desertification. Most often, careless human activities are the reasons for the shortage of rain.

Clearing of forest land for development, felling of trees, burning forests and environmental pollution are some of the major causes that have affected the patterns of rainfall in the world.

In Sri Lanka also, we can see the unusual activities caused due to changes in the weather patterns. But the government seems to be unable to take much action against those contributing to the changes in rainfall.

As the younger generation who are to inherit the future of our country, let’s get together and avert these disasters. Let’s prevent all activities that affect the rainfall in our country to whatever way we could.

Some flowers, like the sunflowers, like the sunflower and dahlia are big, while some like the morning glory, are small. Most flowers have a sweet smell. I like the smell of roses and jasmines very much.

Flowers add colour and beauty to our life. The gardens and parks are full of different coloured flowers.

There are many flowers in my garden. I love to smell them and touch their soft petals. I never pluck them. My parents say it is wrong to do so.

Sometimes the postman, sometimes a train

But I’ll think of my class teacher who’s so kind

On Wednesday my heart is full of joy

At school I’ll certainly be a happy boy

Thursday I’m quite happy because of swimming

And there is no history which is so boring

Fridays are my favourite because of cricket

Where I can uproot every single wicket

But on my way to school

There are many things more

But to tell, its such a bore

So maybe another time

Where I can find words which’ll really rhyme!!!
