Forget-Me-Nots

Not for you the red roses of love

No the yellow roses of friendship

I send you the forget-me-nots that bloomed

In the garden of my heart

Nourished by the waters of my love

I send you this and nothing more and I know for sure

That you will keep them in the depth

Of your heat forever to stay…………….

Deception

When I was in love,

I thought it was the best

I loved and loved and loved

But, suddenly, things went wrong

I didn’t cry, I didn’t hate

But, I learnt,

“Love is a blunder

A great great blunder”

Goverining

Emotions are the emperors

In the empire of the heart

No wars, no mutiny

But revolutions!

No discussions, no principles

But decisions!

It is not that

The empire is a failure

But the emperors

Are in trouble

A prayer in the prospect of death

O Thou unknown, Al mighty Cause

Of all my hope and fear!

In whose dread presence, ere an hur

Perhaps I must appear!

If I have wander’d in those paths

Of life I ought to shun

As something, loudly in my breast

Remonstrates I have done

Thou know’s that thou hast formed me

with passions wild and strong;

And list’ning to their witching voice

Has often led me wrong

Where human weakness has come short

or frailty sept aside

Do Thou, Add-Good_for such Thou art

In shades of darkness hide

Where with intention I have heard

No other plea I have

But, Thou art good; and goodness still

Delighteth to forgive

Encounter

I was just leaving the book shop

When I descried

Someone familliar in the distance

My old flame

My heart’s deepest obsession

Amid the hive of commuters

Walking back and forth

As the lovely apparition

Was nearing me

I blinked quite a few times

Woundering if I was having a reverie

Before I was certain

That it was my lovely lotus herself!

For a pleasurable fleeting second

Her eyes met mine

Filling my mind

With magnificent memories from the past

Before she broke the spell

By averting her eyes

And sauntering past me

As if totally mindless of the presence

Of me, her poor, persistent wooer;

Yet, I caught a glimpse

Of her lovely, fair face

Which had never ceased to enthral me

Despite the problems

We’d had in the past

And felt the flame of passion

Re-kindle itself

In my heart

As I savoured the moment!

The Clue

When I called you

By your full name

I saw you give a swift start

And watched in glee

The delightful astonishment

Mirrored on your face

“How did you get to know

My full name??”

“He who seeks shall find it!”

I quipped like a preacher

Wondering whether you had caught my clue

And the other meaning

Of what I had just so simply said

You grinned delight

Like an impressionable little girl

Just as your eloquent eyes told mine

“I caught your clue, my dear mad boy

I know what it exactly meant!”

To Sir with Love

You were my Sir and

I was your favourite student

It was a memorable day in my life

The day you came to my life

3rd of August 1986

I still can remember the loving way

You looked at me

Day by day you became closer

To my heart

I gradually loved with all my heart

Which ended in a nervous breakdown

I sacrificed my whole life for you

Where no other girl did for you

Which you never understood

When you approached me I ignored

You not because I didn’t love you

But because I was shy

You showed your love in various ways

In 1986, 1987 and 1988

Which I didn’t respond

Now I am single again

Dear are you still feeling the

Same about me…….?

I still have the red rose you gave me

If you still care, dear

I’ll be waiting for you

Life and love

Life is a rapid waterfall

Love is a wave on it

Some times it gives a tear

When it both combines

We’ll be feeling happiness

Rather than saddness
